Montserrat
Montserrat is a British overseas territory in the Lesser Antilles. It is known as Emerald Isle of the Caribbean because of the high amount of Irish people who settled there and its resemblence to coastal Ireland. Their only victories came in 1995 against Anguilla, both by one goal. Unfortunately, later that year Montserrat's Soufriere Hills volcano erupted and covered the capital in ash. This eruption forced over half of the population off of the island. Since then, the team nicknamed the Monster Rats have only played two matches on home soil. Other than those two wins and a 1-1 draw with Saint Lucia in 1991, they have lost every match they have played. However, with professional players from England such as Junior Mendes and Tesfaye Bramble joining the team, things are looking up for Montserratian football.
